6. The incredible infrequency of Chinese-Americans in the distribution of roles in American productions, although

a) they represent a population several times larger than Jewish-Americans whose overrepresentation goes unnoticed due to two phenomena, the adoption of English names by Jewish immigrants, and a Jewish mother/non-Jewish father. b) They are often relegated to first or second generation immigrant roles, with an “exotic” accent (i.e., “non-English speaking”, and sounding like a crazy fortune cookie) but American families have 4 generations of Chinese ancestors born in the US, much longer than former Presidents (Obama, Trump), Vice Presidents (Harris), Governors (Schwartzenegger), Foreign Ministers (Albright, Kissinger)…

c) One in two Chinese-American women start a family with a non-Asian. This means that the Asian genetic contribution is largely integrated after two or three generations.

Americans count Jews as whites. An unimaginable practice for the first half of the 20th century. People from the Middle East are not ethnically white but West Asians (Turks, Syrians, Iranians, Israelis, Afghans, Azeris, Kazakhs, Turkmenistanis, Armenians etc.)

7. American television shows give the impression that Americans are slim, healthy, and super beautiful . The reality is that the average American is the most obese of the G15 citizens; 60–65% are overweight, and 30–35% are morbidly obese.
